After the Kick-Off FMIS project on Tuesday 21st January, 2014 sponsored by H.E. Dr Aun Pornmoniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the PFMRP, FMIS Management Working Group (FMWG) has worked cooperatively with FMIS contractor, FIS-LG CNS Joint Ventures as a FMIS “Joint Team”. Presently, the Joint Team is involving in implementing many major tasks with the contractor, particularly business process, change management, reviewing and discussing on budget classification and chart of account (COA), organizing training and workshops, and preparing FMIS infrastructure which we agreed on the location of data center and recovery center. We will begin building our data center in 2nd quarter of this year in the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
There will be a first newsletter for the FMIS project issued in May to disseminate to all stakeholders and series newsletters will keep MEF’s staff s updated on the most up-to-date information related to the FMIS implementation, knowledge sharing, and case studies from other countries in the region and the globe.
The FMIS Joint Team is organizing workshops and trainings sequentially according to the plan aiming at preparing for members of project team with information and adequate knowledge for implementing the project. The first workshop on “FMIS Change Management and Training Methodology” will be held on April 11th, 2014 which heads and deputy heads from provincial and municipal treasuries and change management and training team will be participating. Following that workshop, FMIS Joint Team will proceed another workshop on “FMIS Induction and Envisioning” conducting for the period of 5 days from 17th – 23rd April, 2014 which FMIS project management teams will be participating.
