For the FMIS go-live in July 2015, the Joint Team is performing actively to complete the key activities according to plan. On 26 March, 2015 the FMIS Working Group (FMWG) conducted the meeting on “Discussion on the FMIS END USER identification” with key General Departments-Departments, under the lead of H.E. Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance and FMIS Project Director. The purposes of the meeting are 1. FMIS END USER identification, the training management, and the benefit of FMIS system. 2. Request to key General Departments-Departments to provide the number and name of FMIS users.
Until now, the system configuration on the 6 modules accordance with the To-Be Business Processes is finished. The system integration test (SIT) has been started base on the test case and test script in order to find errors and make modification before go-live. The actual data transferring from other systems for General Ledger module, the Data Conversion team is having further technical discussion and planning to finalize soon. The tasks pertaining to interfacing with ASYCUDA, DMFAS, Payroll, and National Bank of Cambodia are being performed actively and about to finish.
The Change Management team keeps disseminating about the progress and change impact to key General Departments-Departments thru any means such as face-to-face, website, and other meetings. At this moment, the team visited Provincial Treasury and Department of Economic and Finance of Takeo Province to understand deeply on transactions and daily operations and to collect some additional information as an input for further analysis as a basis for when the FMIS system rolling out to 25 Capital-Provincial Treasuries.
The contractor continues providing the training on PeopleSoft to the FMWG to strengthen the team members for supporting the upcoming formal training courses to the FMIS users. The ICT Infrastructure team conducted further site survey for network installation at key General Departments-Departments and has been studying deeper on Data Center for risks preventing.
In this critical phase, the FMWG and the officials from key General Departments-Departments of Ministry of Economy and Finance, please be prepared and ready to attend all trainings and collaborate with the project joint team to implement FMIS smoothly and successfully.
