General Secretariat of FMIS management working group (FMWG) of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), on 13th of July 2017, has had a meeting with technical team from General Department of Taxation (GDT) about data interface capability between Financial Management Information System (FMIS) and TAX SYSTEM of GDT.

The two-hour meeting at Information Technology Department (ITD) of MEF has given a few outputs including suggestions from FMWG to GDT to consider on data requirements that TAX SYSTEM needs from FMIS relating to withholding tax revenue by General Department of National Treasury or Capital-Provincial Treasuries.

For now, GDT team was not able to respond promptly on the suggestions from FMWG and requested for further discussion with their top management and technical team who works directly with the TAX SYSTEM.

FMWG requests for continuous corporation from GDT’s technical team and for further meetings relating to this interface capability and other technical works making the interface between the two systems successful.

FMWG has had several success on interfacing data between FMIS and ASYCUDA of General Department of Customs and Excise and between FMIS and DMFAS of General Department of International Corporation and Debt Management as well as with National and Commercial Banks.
