FMIS Raising Awareness Workshop to the Departments of Economy and Finance
The Ministry of Economy and Finance had organized a “Raising Awareness of Financial Management Information System (FMIS) to the Departments of Economy and Finance DEF under the honorable presence of H.E Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State and the Chairman of the FMIS Management Working Group (FMWG), and approximately 200 government officials nation-wide on the 28th of February 2018.
The prime objective of the workshop was to:
- Enable the DEF to learn experiences from using FMIS;
- Give an insightful overview of FMIS, FMIS business process of each module and the standard operating procedures;
- Spur up the discussion and consideration of the identity, roles and responsibilities of users and identifying the location of FMIS users at each DEF.

Most of the officials participating in this event expressed strong interest in the modules and the business flow within FMIS, for they’ve heard many talks but have not seen its components until this very day.
The presentation done by FMWG and the representatives from Battambang and Odor Meanchey provincial treasury have provided inputs and shared experiences to the officials which would enable them to discuss and prepare for implementing FMIS in the near future.
It’s interesting to notice that FMIS will roll out to the new 10 Line Ministry and PDEF this upcoming 2018.
