FMIS management working group has conducted a meeting about “Preparation of Management and Implementation Working Group of FMIS Phase II” on 11th-12th January with related general departments of Ministry of Economy and Finance and with leaders of 10 line ministries that will be participating in 2017 FMIS implementation. The meeting was chaired by H.E Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance, Chairman of FMIS Project Management Working Group, representative of H.E.Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Senior Minister, Minister of Ministry of Economy and Finance

In January, change management team has finished their master and action plan for managing change and prepared to have “Raising Awareness to Line Ministries.” At the same time, the team continues establishing FMIS’s implementation progress and updates to stakeholders through different channels and continue to assist all key general departments to finalize standard operating procedure at early March before the implementation of FMIS Phase II.

Besides, functional team of FMIS still continues to solve challenges of users at capital-provincial treasuries to make sure that the system usage is smooth and effective for a full implementation in 2017. Additionally, functional team has also prepared questionnaires and related documents to study current business process at the 10 line ministries to ensure an effective implementation.

Capacity building team has provided additional training about FMIS to officials of sub-national general department of finance and administration with the training of each module of FMIS to new contract staffs.

Infrastructure and information technology team has reviewed on expansion plan of Data Center and studied about the needs of facilities and technical devices for supporting FMIS Phase II. With that, the team continues to install technical devices for additional use and continue installing power engine, electricity stabilizer, and auto connection of electricity at Odor Meanchey and Bonteay Meanchey provincial treasuries.

FMIS working group will implement their activities based on each function with working group of the 10 line ministries that will be participating in the implementation from February onward; therefore, working group of line ministries kindly be ready to coordinate for a successful implementation of FMIS.
