FMIS management working group has organized “Launching Ceremony of Financial Management Information System Phase II Project” on the 22nd of February at Sokha Hotel under an honorable presence of H.E Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance, Chairman of FMIS Project Management Working Group, representative of H.E.Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Senior Minister, Minister of Ministry of Economy and Finance and with also presences of leaders and officials of MEF as well as representatives of line ministries, 25 capital-provincial treasuries, and developing partners.
In February, general secretariat project management working group of FMIS has conducted “Raising Awareness of FMIS to Line Ministry” at 4 line ministries who are participating in FMIS 2017 implementation. Those ministries include Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, and Ministry of Civil Service. Afterwards, team is also going to the four line ministries to study their current standard operating procedure.
Meanwhile, change management team continues establishing FMIS’s implementation progress and updates to stakeholders through different channels and continue to assist all key general departments to finalize standard operating procedure. While functional team of FMIS also continues to support and solve any challenges of users at capital-provincial treasuries to ensure a smooth and effective use of FMIS.
Infrastructure and information technology team has studied on plan and internal location as the first step of preparation of infrastructure at the 10 line ministries in the purpose of getting ready to install and connect networks and devices for supporting FMIS usage in Phase II in the nearest future.
FMIS working group will implement their activities based on each function with working group of the 10 line ministries that will be participating in the implementation from February onward; therefore, working group of line ministries kindly be ready to coordinate for a successful implementation of FMIS.
