People’s Republic of China Delegates Study Tour about Cambodia’s FMIS

14th November 2017, Information Technology Department of General Secretariat of Ministry of Economy and Finance had some delegates from People’s Republic of China led by Mr. Lu Wenbin Vice President of Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) and Mr. Liu Xiaoqiang Deputy Director of Shanghai National Accounting Institute of Asia-Pacific Finance Development Institute (AFDI) come to study on FMIS of Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia.

In that two hours meeting with the delegates, FMIS project management working group has demonstrated on functions and its importance of each module including General Ledger (GL), Budget Allocation (BA), Purchasing Order (PO), Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), and the reports. Especially, FMIS scope as a whole which is to be implemented all over the country by 2010. After the meeting, delegates continue the study tour to witness actual operation of the general secretariat of FMIS project management working group specifically to understand FMIS.

Ministry of Finance of People’s Republic of China has been operating their government financial management information system (GFMIS) since 2000 under a project called Golden Finance Project” with the purpose of fulfilling the needs of treasury reform and the development of budget.
