Workshop on FMIS Implementation Progress
52 officials from capital-provincial treasuries participated in the workshop on FMIS implementation progress at capital-provincial treasuries; the workshop was conducted by FMIS project management working group (FMWG) of Information Technology Department (ITD) at Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) on 16th December 2016.
In the occasion, director of treasuries and officials who are using FMIS have raised about their implementation progress, daily work with FMIS, challenges, and their suggestions.
In fact, many treasuries have praised on FMIS ability which they didn’t expect. For instance, treasuries are now able to monitor on their credit timely for all capital-provincial spending units with no faults or any payments made without proper credits. Although, they have also raised on their remaining challenges for project management team to help solving at technical level with operating procedures.
The workshop is an ideal platform for all stakeholders from capital-provincial treasuries to meet up and discuss directly with FMWG gathering inputs and solve the problems together in order to be well prepared for 2017 implementation.
FMWG understood about the challenges and truly appreciated their efforts and encouraged treasuries officials to continue learning and using FMIS that is an essential tool supporting the Public Finance Management Reform Program of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
