World Bank Country Manager: Cambodia is a Great Location for an Experience Sharing on FMIS’s Success
Mrs. Inguna Dobraja, world bank country manager of world bank Cambodia stated that Cambodia is a great location for Lao PDR to learn from the successful FMIS implementation especially the ability to share the knowledge which is a driving force for a successful FMIS implementation of Ministry of Economy and Finance. The statement was made during the opening session of the visit under presences of H.E Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance, H.E George Edgar, Ambassador of the European Union in Cambodia, Lao PDR Delegations, and FMIS project management working group of Ministry of Economy and Finance on 23rd August 2017.
Inguna Dobraja added that despite the success of FMIS, the whole process took some time because “Building systems and building institutions take long time, it’s much more difficult than building road or bridge.”
With that note, she has also shown appreciation to Dr. Hean Sahib and his team of Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia for their hard work and effort in urging for a smooth implementation process.
