World Bank: FMIS Usage has Significant Improvement

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0

Officials from World Bank based in Cambodia stated that FMIS usage at treasuries has been improved significantly if compared to the pilot in 2016.

This statement was made after World Bank mission team had a site visit and monitor on FMIS after 1 year implementation at 8 provincial-treasuries in Phase I.

In fact, in 2017 provincial treasuries have entered their daily transactions into FMIS on time and able to obtain revenue and expenditure reports, and to monitor budget as well as have an accurate accounting entry.

Additionally, most of the officials now have better understanding on the modules and FMIS benefits in financial management works, these are positive signs leading to a complete ownership of FMIS which is the only system for managing financial information in Cambodia.

This mission was joined by World Bank officials, 2 officials from Sihanouk Ville and Koh Kong treasuries and officials from Information Technology Department of General Secretariat of Ministry of Economy and Finance in order to gather and bind information as well as exchanging experience relating to FMIS implementation.
